How will this course help me?
When you employ the same movement patterns literally millions of times over years, your muscles, tendons and ligaments have the tendency to get tight (think piano wire). In addition to that, we develop fascial adhesions (scar tissue – think chewing gum) and these phenomena not only make it difficult or impossible to play our instruments, they also cause a great deal of pain for many people. It’s the equivalent of putting 500,000 miles on your car and never changing the oil. The good news is that there’s a way to get back to your original, optimal and healthy use! I know that the approach laid out in this course works because I use it myself and I've seen it applied successfully again and again by hundreds of people that I’ve worked with.
HOW IS S.O.O.Y.O.W. DIFFERENT FROM ANYTHING ELSE OUT THERE?
Rather than charging a subscription which adds up over time, I think it’s not just simpler, but also better for you if it’s a one time payment and that’s it – FOREVER. Also, this course is STREAMING ONLY. As long as you have an internet connection, you’re good to go!
The unique thing about the structure of this course is that when I learn more on my journey, I will update the course to reflect this and you will have access to that included with your one time purchase. Pretty cool, huh? I think so. It’s worked out exceptionally well for my drumming course “Getting Out Of Your Own Way”, which is currently already in it’s 3rd iteration.

DIANNA LINDEN
This course exists because of my mentor, collaborator and friend Dianna Linden. It is an effort to preserve her life’s work and be able to share a small amount of what I learned from her to a much larger audience. I learned so much from her - as did everyone who came into contact with her and she just was not the type of person to write anything down. When I was playing in my metal band Daughters of Mara back in 2005, I started to develop an aching pain in my left forearm (tendinitis). Initially, my good friend Dave Timnick (Intronaut) told me about Dianna. Through his experience training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he had heard that a lot of fighters were going to see her due to her working closely with Rickson Gracie and Rhonda Rousey. After one long, excruciating session, my arm pain was gone. Completely gone! That started a near 20 year collaboration. Dianna worked on me of course, but I was also able to send her countless musicians and friends whose careers she saved. I would get people using themselves in a healthy way in relation to their instrument and Dianna would give them body work, stretches and training paradigms. We made a pretty great team. It was very important to me that her life's work was documented and not lost to the ether, so after years of me badgering her to “write some of this down", we figured out a system where I would take her out to dinner while she riffed, I did my best to type furiously and catch what I could. We got together maybe 10-15 times and just as we were putting the finishing touches on the script, Dianna got sick and passed away on March 1st 2023 at the age of 76.
My Team
I’m so fortunate to be able to have 3 incredible women in this course who not only help convey Dianna Linden's vision, but also add their own modernized and individualized experience to each section.
